From New York to Pittsburgh.
Uptown in the low-key Mt. Lebanon neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, stands Vinyl Remains, a record store that is anything but low-key. NYC transplants, Greg and Jennifer Anderson — formerly of Shrine Music East Village record store, Daddy’s Williamsburg BK bar, and The Rogers Sisters aughts post-punkers — realized their new home was missing something: a place where people could discover old favorites they hadn’t yet heard. Lining the walls are just a sampling of the over 3,000 painstakingly curated records housed in the shop. You can find anything from jazz to horror movie soundtracks as well as classics like AC/DC and even some local sounds. And if it’s not here, Greg can find it. Vinyl Remains also houses a small underground art gallery offering a selection of prints, books, shirts, and stickers featuring different artists regularly . So stop by and get lost looking through the stacks of records, you’ll probably find something you didn’t even know you needed.
